Duration:  Members can attend morning only or transfer to Dell Quay for all day walk.  Bring lunch if attending all day.

Directions:  Take the A3 south from Guildford to Portsmouth and turn off at J2 on the B2149 towards Dell Piece. Go straight across the next roundabout and then take the first turning onto the B2148 Whichers Gate Road.  After a mile turn left onto Emsworth Common Road.  Follow the B2147 and the B2146 until the turning left for Stoke Road.  After half a mile take the middle track in Downs Road to the West Stoke car park for Kingley Vale on your right.  If coming to afternoon walk, transfer to the Bulls Head, 99 Fishbourne Rd W, Chichester PO19 3JP

Habitat:  A mixture of ancient yew trees and chalk grassland with a notable Bronze Age burial mound and an Iron Age settlement.  Intertidal mudflats and harbour environment at Dell Quay.  Some paths can be steep and uneven.

Attractions:  Woodland and grassland birds, Buzzard, Red Kite, Marsh Tit all year round.  Good site for Hawfinch in winter and Turtle Dove and Warblers in summer.  Ring Ouzel possible on passage.

Amenities:  No facilities on site at Kingley Vale
