The RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) is the country’s largest nature conservation charity. Its aim is to inspire everyone to give nature a home. For more information visit the RSPB website and read the About the RSPB section.
Our beautiful country is an amazing place to live. On our doorsteps are woods and farmland, moors and marshes, cliffs and mountains.
We exist to help our birds, wildlife and natural places to survive and thrive. A country that’s not home to skylarks and puffins, red squirrels and hedgehogs, butterflies and dragonflies, trees and wild flowers is not a country any of us wants to live in.
Together with our partners, we protect threatened birds and wildlife so our towns, coast and countryside will teem with life once again.
There are over 200 RSPB reserves that are home to an astonishing array of precious but threatened birds and other wildlife.
Every species is unique, but each is connected. Every one of them needs a home if it is to survive.
The organisation also plays a leading role in BirdLife International, the worldwide partnership of nature conservation organisations.
