Directions:  Turn off A27 onto Langstone Road and keep going over Langstone bridge and turn right after 300 yards by the second petrol station signed Nature Reserve (brown sign) to small car park near oysterbeds. Alternatively turn left into Victoria Road directly opposite this car park and find a space by the houses if the Nature Reserve car park is busy.  The aim will be to follow the Billy Line path around the Oyster beds and then over the bridge to Langstone Harbour towards Warblington.

Habitat:  Firm paths at both sites, but can be muddy if wet.  Expanses of mud in estuary, views of the sea in Langstone Harbour, oysterbeds with lagoons.  Mill pond and open fields, woodland and scrub.

Attractions:  Winter wader flocks at high tide roost, sea ducks, grebes, geese and gulls, egret roost.

Amenities:  Toilets are available at the first garage over the Bridge (Applegreen petrol station) and outside the Ship Inn.  Please note that the car park by the Ship Inn is now only available for parking for customers of the pub, and large fines are in place for infringements of these rules. However, The Hayling Billy Bites van is open in the nature reserve car park from 8am-4pm selling hot drinks, burgers and snacks, although it would be advisable to carry lunch with you on the day.  There are various superstores with toilet facilities in Havant and Waterlooville before reaching Hayling Island which are open from 10am until 4pm on Sundays.
