Opened in 2016 as a completely new wetland, Heather Farm is a Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) that has been developed by Horsell Common Preservation Society and Woking Borough Council to mitigate the increased public pressure on the Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Areas (SPA) as a result of additional housing development.
Duration: Half day walk

Directions: Meet at Waters Edge Cafe, Heather Farm, Horsell. Take A320 from Woking towards Staines. Continue on the A245 and bear right onto the A3046. Heather Farm is about 400 yards on the right.
Habitat: Extensive walks through meadows meandering along the River Bourne.
Attractions: Wetland and woodland species.
Amenities: Excellent café with facilities.
